The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) forecasts for this Saturday, June 21, in Madeira, a very cloudy sky with the possibility of light showers on the north slope and highlands of the island.
Winds are expected to be light to moderate (10 to 30 km/h) from the north.
Temperatures will range between 20 and 25 ºC in Funchal and 19 and 25 ºC in Porto Santo. The Madeira archipelago once again presents a very high risk of exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation today. Therefore, the national meteorological service recommends the use of UV filter sunglasses, hats, shirts, sunscreen, and avoiding children's exposure to the sun.
Regarding the sea state, the IPMA points to northwest waves of 1.5 to 2 meters on the north coast. For the south coast, southwest waves of 1 to 1.5 meters, being less than 1 meter on the east side.
The sea water temperature is expected to remain between 21 and 22 ºC.
