32 years ago, the Aldeia da Senhora do Forte was inaugurated, marking the creation of Portugal's smallest and one of the Algarve's best-preserved villages. This year also marks 12 years since the first IN Lagos, the official summer reception event.
This weekend, from the 20th to the 22nd, the sun will once again take its first summer bath at Meia-Praia. It will then stroll along the Costa d’Ouro, the bay, and the city, culminating in the traditional Festa da Aldeia da Senhora do Forte at 5 PM on the 21st, organized by the Lagos Museum.
The Aldeia da Senhora do Forte was founded by Pedro Reis with the aim of bringing everyone together, from children—the Friends of the Village—in respect for essential values and the practice of a healthy community life.
This year's reception welcomes all, with a special focus on those born in 1985 and 2005.
