Carlos Moedas, the current Mayor of Lisbon, has officially launched his re-election campaign, emphasizing his commitment to maintaining Lisbon as a safe city. His campaign, now in full swing, includes promises of new neighborhoods, increased police presence, and the reintroduction of night guards.
During a campaign stop in the Misericórdia parish, Moedas interacted with both tourists and local business owners, showcasing his engagement with the community. He highlighted his achievements from his first term and outlined his vision for the future, focusing on housing construction and public safety.
Moedas has also taken the opportunity to critique his opponents, labeling them as 'radical' and appealing to 'moderate socialists' for their votes. His campaign is part of a coalition that, for the first time, includes the Iniciativa Liberal party.
