A family has been accused of defrauding 143 individuals by advertising non-existent holiday homes in Gerês and Algarve. The Judicial Police have concluded their investigation into the group, revealing that over three years, the family extracted 150 thousand euros from their victims.
The suspects used popular platforms like OLX and Facebook to advertise these properties, luring in unsuspecting victims looking for vacation rentals. The investigation highlights the growing issue of online fraud in the real estate sector, urging potential renters to exercise caution.
