The study, conducted by Riviera Travel, not only features Lisbon in the top 10 but also reveals an unexpected leader. While cities like Berlin (Germany) are often associated with beer consumption, the top spot went to Madrid, Spain.

The ranking focused on the most popular European cities outside the UK. Using reliable sources such as Tripadvisor and Numbeo, destinations were evaluated based on three key categories:

- Number of pubs and bars
- Average cost of a glass of beer
