A major operation unfolded this Tuesday as the Judicial Police (PJ) conducted searches at the Loures Municipal Police headquarters. Suspicions of corruption, abuse of power, computer fraud, and document forgery prompted the action.
- 15 search and seizure warrants were executed, alongside computer research mandates.
- The PJ suspects that officials accepted bribes to overlook violations during license inspections.
Investigators are also looking into "illegal services provided to private companies" and unauthorized overtime payments, as stated in an official PJ release.
Around 30 PJ inspectors and experts were involved in the operation, which kicked off at 9 AM.
