A transgender woman, sought by Brazilian authorities for a 10-year prison sentence, was arrested in Lisbon after fleeing to escape justice. The 24-year-old suspect was involved in sexual extortion cases in Guaratinguetá, near São Paulo, where she worked as a prostitute.
Clients were unknowingly filmed and photographed during sexual encounters, then blackmailed into paying to prevent the dissemination of these images to their families and social networks. The suspect exploited dozens of victims before being convicted.
After her conviction, she completed her gender transition surgery, removing her male genitalia, and fled to Portugal, where she lived for nearly two years, continuing to work as a prostitute while frequently changing cities.
No complaints against her were reported in Portugal, but recent arrest warrants issued by Brazilian authorities led to her capture by the Portuguese Judicial Police's Criminal Information Unit. She is set to appear in court for coercive measures.
