David Yarrow's visual narrative makes its first appearance in Portugal, specifically in Lisbon, with an exhibition that celebrates the artistic vision of the Scottish photographer.
Inspired by Yarrow's同名book, "Storytelling" opens today, May 23, at the temporary space of the Algarve gallery In The Pink in Lisbon. It showcases some of the most iconic images captured over the last decade.
Among the highlights of this exhibition are:
- The recreation of the iconic 1992 Pepsi ad featuring supermodel Cindy Crawford.
- Cara Delevingne posing alongside a cheetah in the Namib Desert.
- Striking photographs of wildlife in some of the planet's most remote locations.
Globally renowned, David Yarrow began his professional career in finance. However, he is much more than a mere moment capturer. His work closely resembles that of a film director, with meticulously planned compositions, extensive casts, and a detailed eye, reinventing the familiar.
Yarrow's work is highly collectible and exhibited worldwide, with editions regularly selling out. With sales exceeding $125 million and over $15 million raised for philanthropic causes – including the David Yarrow Family Foundation – his impact transcends the realm of artistic photography.
"Storytelling" offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the vision of an artist who redefines the boundaries of photography.
The exhibition will be held at 74 Rua Santo António à Estrela from May 23 to June 1, from 10 am to 6 pm. Admission is free.
