Lisbon Metro has clarified that the strike called for overtime and special events, starting at 00:00 on May 23, 2025, and lasting for 30 days (renewable for equal periods), will not affect the regular transport service.
For the UEFA Women's Champions League Final on Saturday, May 24, the Metro will make every effort to increase its network's capacity, adjusting to the expected demand within existing technical and operational limits.
Passengers are advised to travel to the stadium earlier in the day to avoid peak times. In case of exceptionally high demand, crowding on platforms may lead to increased train frequencies and waiting times. Those without pre-purchased tickets are encouraged to buy them in advance to avoid queues and ensure smoother access to stations.
The Lisbon Metro thanks its customers for their understanding and reaffirms its commitment to providing a mobility experience that contributes to the success of this major international event.
