Temperatures are expected to exceed 30°C across most of the country starting Tuesday, May 27, with southern regions and the Tagus valley possibly seeing highs above 35°C.

- Temperature Rise: A gradual increase in temperatures is forecasted, with the most significant spikes expected on May 29 and 30. Nighttime lows will also rise, staying above 15°C in most areas.
- Fire Risk: The Rural Fire Danger (PIR) index is expected to rise, reaching high or very high levels in most regions, with maximum risk in some southern municipalities.
- Weather Conditions: The heatwave is driven by a hot air mass from North Africa, leading to clear or slightly cloudy skies. Northern and central regions may experience some morning fog.
- UV Radiation: UV levels will remain very high, typical for this time of year near the summer solstice.
- Wind Patterns: Northerly winds will prevail, occasionally shifting to easterly, with stronger gusts along the western coast and highlands, especially in the afternoon.
