The PSP (Public Security Police) of Lisbon has detained several suspects and seized multiple tons of drugs and firearms in an ongoing operation that began on October 17th in the Greater Lisbon area. In an initial assessment, the PSP confirmed the apprehension of several tons of hashish, various firearms, and hundreds of thousands of euros in cash. Additionally, fast boats, engines, and motor vehicles were also seized by the authorities as part of the crackdown.

The detained individuals will be presented for their first judicial interrogation on Monday, where coercive measures are expected to be applied. The PSP has emphasized that the full results of the operation will be disclosed in a press conference once the investigation is finalized.
