Weather Alert for Madeira
The southern coast and mountainous regions of Madeira are currently under a yellow warning due to forecasts predicting heavy rain and showers, potentially accompanied by thunderstorms. This warning has been issued by the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
The yellow warning will remain in effect until 12:00 PM today.
Additionally, the western group of the Azores (Flores and Corvo) is also under a yellow warning due to rough seas, with waves expected from the southwest transitioning to the northwest until 09:00 AM today.
The yellow warning is the least severe on a three-tier scale and is issued whenever there is a risk to activities dependent on weather conditions.
