Teen's Four-Year Arson Spree in Fafe
A 14-year-old boy has been identified by the Judicial Police (PJ) as the perpetrator behind multiple wildfires that consumed thousands of hectares in three localities of Fafe over the past four years. Acting out of "revolt and frustration" due to poor grades and a lack of friends, the minor used a scooter to set fires and then flee the scene, heading home to hide.

The PJ's investigation led to his identification, and he has since confessed to the facts. The fires caused significant environmental and economic damage in the region, highlighting ongoing issues with juvenile delinquency and fire prevention in Portugal.
