Lisbon is gearing up to host another edition of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive (DGD), an international event that blends the sophistication of classic cars with a meaningful charitable mission for social impact.
Far more than just a classic car parade, the DGD is a global movement that unites style, passion for automobiles, and social commitment. It supports prostate cancer research and promotes men's mental health in partnership with the Movember Foundation.
Results from the 2024 Global Edition
The 2024 edition delivered impressive results:
- Over 4,730 drivers participated in approximately 200 events across more than 60 countries.
- More than $333,000 was raised, directed towards Movember's research and support programs.
Lisbon made its mark by gathering over 100 classic car drivers in the local edition, reinforcing the Portuguese capital's role on the international event map.

The participant gathering will take place near the National Coach Museum on September 28, from where the parade will depart at 10:30 AM towards the National Palace of Queluz. This historic and imposing setting promises to add extra shine to the event.
The cultural and historical backdrop of the National Coach Museum will enhance this year's edition, expected to attract not only driving enthusiasts but also curious onlookers and families. It offers a chance to engage with true museum pieces.
"The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive is not just a celebration of classic cars. It is, above all, an opportunity to give visibility to causes fundamental to society. Lisbon has been standing out in this global movement, and 2025 will be no different," emphasizes the local organization.
The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive originated as an extension of the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride (DGR), created in 2012 to bring together riders of classic and pre-classic motorcycles. Its success led to the concept expanding into the automotive world in 2021, giving rise to the DGD—reserved for classic vehicles aged 40 years or older.
Since then, the event has grown year after year, solidifying itself as a unique celebration that combines automotive heritage, timeless style, and solidarity.
