Investigation Underway with No New Leads
Mikhail Gordeev, a 32-year-old Russian furniture designer, has been missing since September 15, 2025, after allegedly being kidnapped in the Saldanha area of Lisbon. He lives legally in Lisbon with his husband, and his disappearance has sparked a major investigation by the Polícia Judiciária (PJ).
Disappearance Details
Gordeev failed to show up for a planned meeting with his husband and friends on the afternoon of September 15 near Marquês de Pombal in Lisbon. A complaint was filed the same day at the PJ's station. According to his husband, Gordeev was last seen in the Venda do Pinheiro area of Mafra and another location in Loures.
Key Evidence from Surveillance
Initial steps in the PJ's investigation, handled by inspectors from the homicide section of the Lisbon directorate, have uncovered surveillance footage from the Saldanha area, close to the Alfredo da Costa Maternity Hospital. The footage shows Gordeev being forced into a vehicle, strongly suggesting a kidnapping. However, since this incident, there have been no further updates or communications to his loved ones.
Family and Friends' Efforts
A source close to Gordeev reported that his husband and friends have been distributing flyers with his photo and details in an attempt to gather new information that could aid the investigation. Notably, no ransom demand has been made, and the PJ has not provided any additional information to the family.
The case remains shrouded in mystery, with authorities continuing their probe into this alarming event in the heart of Lisbon.
