Negotiations Kick Off for Public Administration Wages
Talks between the Government and public administration unions begin this Friday, with the Executive expressing willingness to extend the agreement signed last year by an additional year, covering the entire new legislative term until the end of 2029, according to a government source. Although not guaranteed, this extension leaves open the possibility of revising the agreement's content, which includes minimum annual salary increases applicable to all public sector workers.
Key Elements of the Agreement
The negotiations are based on previously agreed increases of 56.58 euros or 2.15% for 2026. The Government aims to review inspection careers and make changes to the evaluation system, signaling potential adjustments beyond the basic wage hikes.
