EuroPride 2025 in Lisbon
Pride is more than just a colorful march; it's about visibility, memory, and resistance for the LGBTQIA+ community. In 2025, Lisbon will once again be at the heart of these celebrations in June, but this time it will host the EuroPride, the largest event of its kind in Europe.
With the rights of the community being challenged in various countries, EuroPride 2025 Lisbon stands up as a global response against the normalization of hate speech and the rise of conservative policies. The organization emphasizes, "What is at stake goes far beyond our community: it's about democracy, freedom, and human dignity."
From June 14 to 22, the Portuguese capital will transform into a true European stage for human rights. The event will feature conferences, exhibitions, workshops, sports activities, and networking actions, culminating in the iconic Pride March through the streets of the city.
Expect to be entertained as well with performances that promise to leave even the most resilient breathless. There will be concerts and artistic performances galore, with some names already confirmed, including drag queens like Sylvia Koonz, Favela Lacroix, and Fontana from the Swedish version of "Drag Race", alongside artists such as Melody, Cubita, and Tara McDonald.
The organization highlights that LGBTI+ rights are facing a real risk of regression in many parts of the world, including Europe. At this critical moment, they stress the urgency of reinforcing unity, solidarity, and visibility in their fight.
Best of all, participating in these celebrations won't cost you a cent! Entry to various activities is free, but registration is required. All the necessary information can be found on the official website of the initiative and their Instagram page.
