The weekend is approaching, and this one officially marks the end of summer, but don't worry, it's not all bad news. There are numerous free activities happening in Lisbon and Porto.

1. Discover the Madeirense Festival
Poncha, espetada, lapas, bolo do caco, and the best traditional flavors from Madeira are present from September 12th to 21st at Jardim do Arco Cego in Lisbon.
The space will have a free access area to sample typical snacks and toast with poncha, and another reserved area for lunches and dinners with a special menu including bolo do caco, espetada, fried corn, fries, wine or beer, and a poncha for €20 per person.

2. Participate in a Treasure Hunt in Sintra
Mystery City Games presents an outdoor escape room that explores the history of Sintra in an adventure inspired by a true story.
A king has a secret, a love that no one can know. His plan is simple: to be together. However, not everything will be so easy, and you'll need to follow the trail and solve challenges to help the king save his love.

3. Attend the We At Sunset at IDB Rooftop by Mirari
This Saturday will have other rhythms with Tech House and Afro House as the protagonists of a vibrant and energetic afternoon.
At IDB Rooftop by Mirari, from 5 PM until midnight, the We/At sunset will take place. You can count on DiSoan for Tech House, Acathz B2B Ine B for Afro House, and Brosi da Hey for Afro House. The good news? Entry is free.
4. Enjoy Circuitos'25
In the heart of Porto, on September 19th, 20th, and 21st, over 55 spaces, including museums, galleries, and independent creation, exhibition, and thought spaces, open their doors to discover and unveil everything inside.
From concerts, performances, talks, and more activities, this major initiative promises to showcase Porto and culture in a different way.

5. Go to the Cupula-Circus Village Festival
From September 19th to 21st, the contemporary circus festival takes place in Arcozelo, Vila Nova de Gaia.
Portugal's first circus village transforms the space into a vibrant setting where art and sharing come together in a packed program you won't want to miss.

6. Watch a Fado Show at Mosteiro de São Bento da Vitória
Enjoy a live fado show at Mosteiro de São Bento da Vitória in Porto. Get to know this iconic monastery with a local guide and, after the visit, enjoy one of the great symbols of Portuguese culture, fado, accompanied by the Portuguese guitar and viola de Fado. You can also enjoy a glass of Port wine and Singeverga liqueur.
Adult tickets cost €24, youth tickets are €17, and children's tickets are €12, with entry allowed for those over 6 years old. You can purchase tickets through the Feverup website.
