Recent International Presence

Following successful participation in the ILTM North America in the Bahamas and IMEX America in Las Vegas earlier this month - two significant international events dedicated to luxury tourism and business tourism - Turismo do Algarve is now returning to the American continent to strengthen destination promotion in the strategic markets of Canada and the United States.

Canadian Roadshow Initiative

From October 21-23, the Algarve will participate in the "Travel Trade Marketplace Canada" Roadshow organized by Turismo de Portugal, taking place in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. This event targets tourism operators, travel agents, and other sector professionals, aiming to strengthen commercial relationships with the Canadian market and consolidate Portugal's image as a competitive and diverse tourist destination.

This targeted presence will showcase the region's diverse offerings, with special emphasis on the Sun & Sea product, but also highlighting gastronomy, nature, and local experiences. This strategic move aims to increase destination awareness and create new business opportunities with Canadian operators and agents.

Luxury Tourism Focus at TFest

Days later, from October 26-29, the Algarve will also make its presence felt at TFest, an international event dedicated to luxury tourism taking place in Riviera Maya, Mexico. This gathering will bring together buyers from around the world, with approximately 60% coming from the American continent.

Strategic Business Meetings

In this edition, Turismo do Algarve has already scheduled approximately 60 individual meetings with representatives from carefully selected operators and travel designers in the US and Canadian markets. This represents a strategic opportunity to present the region's luxury offerings and reinforce the Algarve's positioning as a reference destination in this segment.

Leadership Perspective

"The North American market has shown growing interest in authentic, sustainable, and culturally rich destinations," stated André Gomes, President of Turismo do Algarve. "This strong commitment to the Algarve's presence in the American continent reflects our ambition to consolidate commercial relationships and strengthen the destination's appeal among audiences with high purchasing power and interest in genuine, differentiated experiences."

Strategic Integration

These actions are part of the destination's international promotion strategy, contributing to Turismo do Algarve's commitment to diversifying source markets and enhancing the global dimension of the region's tourism offerings.
