The national headquarters of the Chega party in Lisbon was vandalized on Thursday night. The party released a statement attributing the act to those who "feel threatened when democracy works."
The party views the continuous destruction of its billboards, posters, and other party offices as "coordinated actions" aimed at intimidation. "CHEGA is not intimidated by acts of vandals, who are nothing more than cowards attacking under the cover of night when no one can see them," the statement read.
