A terrifying armed robbery unfolded in a Lisbon apartment, targeting the son of an Angolan judge, his girlfriend, and three friends. The incident occurred in Benfica, near the Alto dos Moinhos Metro station. Four masked and armed men forced their way into the apartment, tied up the victims with plastic zip ties, and made off with a significant amount of money and a valuable piece of jewelry.
The robbery took place on Tuesday evening, as the victims were entering the apartment. Unaware they were being followed, the assailants quickly took control of the situation. One of the victims was on a phone call when the robbery began, allowing the person on the other end to hear the cries for help and alert the PSP. Despite the swift response, the robbers managed to escape before the police arrived.
The victims were found tied to chairs but, fortunately, did not suffer any physical injuries requiring hospital treatment. The Judicial Police are currently investigating the crime, which has raised concerns about safety in the area.
