The Portuguese government has announced a new pension bonus for September, alongside a reduction in the Corporate Income Tax (IRC), in what appears to be a strategic move ahead of the local elections. These measures, revealed by Montenegro, also include support for the relocation of all teachers, aiming to address key concerns of the electorate.

In addition to these financial incentives, the government plans to adopt a proposal from the PS (Socialist Party) to coordinate hospital emergency services more effectively. This move is seen as an attempt to unify efforts in tackling the ongoing challenges in the healthcare sector.
The announcement comes at a critical time, with local elections on the horizon, and is interpreted by many as an effort to garner support by addressing pressing issues such as pension adequacy, taxation, and education.
