Celebrating the Digital Era with Physical Activity
This year, the European Week of Sport focuses on embracing the digital age by encouraging more physical activity under the theme 'More Movement, Less Scroll'. From September 23 to 30, participating entities across Portugal have the opportunity to promote, develop, and host national-level activities and events.
Year-Round Healthy Lifestyles
The initiative aims to foster a regular schedule of activities throughout the entire year, actively contributing to the adoption of healthy lifestyles.
Highlight Event in Algarve
The peak of the 2025 European Week of Sport will take place in São Brás de Alportel, Algarve, on the morning of Monday, September 29. Dozens of 'sports stages' will be set up through a major partnership between the IPDJ (Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth) and the São Brás de Alportel Municipality, along with sports associations and clubs from across the Algarve. An estimated 1,500 participants are expected to join, featuring regional and national sports personalities, including athletes, coaches, leaders, associations, local officials, and regional authorities.
How to Get Involved
