Faro Municipality Awards Contract for Biogal Road Repaving

The repaving project for municipal roads CR4212 and CR4213 (Caminho do Biogal) has been awarded to the company José de Sousa Barra & Filhos, Lda., based in Faro, with the contract officially signed.

This project represents a total investment of 75,908 euros, plus VAT at the current legal rate, and has an execution period of 60 days. It aims to improve traffic conditions and road safety on rural routes within the municipality.

The award was made through a public tender process, in accordance with Article 73 of the Public Contracts Code, and was approved by a dispatch from the Mayor on September 10, 2025.

The project will be fully financed by the Municipality of Faro's own revenues and falls under the scope of rehabilitation and accessibility works in suburban and rural areas, included in the municipal investment plan for 2025.

This intervention is part of a series of works that the Faro Municipal Council has been developing to enhance road infrastructure, promoting greater safety and comfort in local mobility, with a special focus on rural and peripheral areas of the municipality.
